PACCAR Financial Corp. Opens Used Truck Distribution Facility

SPARTANBURG, S.C., Aug. 20, 2008 — PACCAR Financial Corp. (PFC) recently opened its second used truck center near Spartanburg, S.C. The new facility offers an extensive selection of premium Kenworth and Peterbilt used trucks to PACCAR dealers, non-PACCAR dealers, independent wholesalers, and retail fleet and owner-operator buyers.
The new PacLease Truck Sales center is located on I-85 in Spartanburg, S.C. This 11,500 square-foot state-of-the-art facility sits on 8.5 acres, has three service bays, a wash bay, and provides enough parking space to accommodate up to 230 used trucks.
“Few locations in the United States can match the selection of premium used equipment our Spartanburg facility offers in one place,” said Nathan Whitaker, the center’s general manager. “This entire location is dedicated to facilitating the resale of premium Kenworth and Peterbilt used trucks from PFC customers all across the United States. That’s how we can offer truck operators and their dealers hundreds of late-model trucks from which to choose.”
“With this on-site service shop, customers and their truck dealers can be assured they’re getting premium used trucks that have been reconditioned to PACCAR’s high quality standards,” Whitaker said. “PACCAR dealers can also send their used truck sales staff here to receive extensive hands-on training.”
Customers and dealers can visit the PacLease Truck Sales web site to view the inventory of trucks available. The site also includes trucks available at the PacLease Truck Sales Center in Chicago, Ill., and at PACCAR dealers nationwide.
The location for PacLease Truck Sales at 2187 Chesnee Highway in Spartanburg was chosen for its proximity to several metropolitan areas throughout the entire eastern seaboard including Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, and Richmond.
