Protection for "The Big Easy"

Just 14 months after delivering its first truck equipped with a PACCAR MX engine, PacLease is leasing a Kenworth T800 tractor equipped with PacLease’s 1,000th PACCAR MX engine to Lafarge North America. Lafarge is using the truck, along with a number of Kenworth mixers it’s leasing from PacLease, on several federal projects designed to rebuild New Orleans’ storm surge protection system decimated by Hurricane Katrina. Pilot Plans Plug-in Parking

Plans for a network of truckstops with electrified truck parking spaces along the nation’s major highway-freight corridors got a big charge by an announcement from the nation’s leading truck stop operator. Manure-to-Methane Powers Trucks

By providing 42 CNG-powered Kenworth T440s through full-service leasing to Indiana-based Fair Oaks Farms, PacLease is playing a critical role in getting a manure-to-methane project off the ground. The project could have broad implications not only for the dairy industry, but also for other operations that produce biological waste. There's Electricity in the Air

Baker Truck Corral, just off Interstate 84 in eastern Oregon, is the first of 50 truck stops around the country to be outfitted by Shorepower Technologies in conjunction with Cascade Sierra Solutions through a program funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. A formal ribbon cutting and open house with local dignitaries officially recognized the truck stop electrification project on Aug. 12. Federally-funded rebates are available from Cascade Sierra Solutions that allow fleet and individual owners to take advantage of the electrified truck parking spaces.
